Lys is a frontier Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) lab, pursuing applied AI and neuroscience research. In a world where communication increasingly means communication with AI, we have found ways to take bandwidth and efficiency to the next level.

We've hired a small, world-class team including an IPhO gold medallist and a leading specialist in neuroimaging.

Prior to building Lys, Nicole pursued BCI research in academia under the supervision of Bettina Sorger, Thomas co-founded an AI startup now worth hundreds of millions, and Anthony was pursuing a PhD in astrophysics. We are a tight-knit team and have known each other for about a decade.

Lys is named after the land of Lys in Arthur C. Clarke's novel, Against the Fall of Night.
